You've got questions, I've got answers! Here are the answers to my most frequently asked questions...
1. Can I be in the pictures too?
Absolutely! The bond that we share with our furry family members is so special, it's not easily put into words. I'm sure you've heard the expression "A picture is worth a thousand words" (Cheesy, I know). I say a beautiful, artistic, professional photo is worth a billion emotions. That is why I do what I do! Whether it's just you, your human kiddos, or the whole family, I would love to have everyone join in on the fun! I offer a special session experience for every scenario. Check them out here.
2. My puppy is a handful. Should I wait until she's had some training?
No way! Wouldn't it be great to have amazing portraits of her as a pup that you can look back on years from now while she's sleeping at your feet, gray muzzle and all? Better yet, why not have a session now, and another when she's full grown? I have a special session experience just for that! I have experience in dealing with dogs of all ages, with or without training. Don't worry, I'll get some amazing images, no matter what it takes. After all, that's my job! Find out more about my First Year puppy session here.
3. Do you photograph animals other than dogs?
Yes! While most of my clients are dog and cat parents, I enjoy photographing all types of animals. Horses? Absolutely! Birds? Of coarse! Reptiles, hedgehogs, PIGS? Yes, please! Art knows no boundaries, and neither does our love for our pets. They are all family! You can see some of the critters I've photographed here.
4. Do you have a studio?
All of my sessions are done on location. I prefer to capture pets in their natural environment, whether it be on a hike in the mountains, their favorite park, or even in their own back yard. The more comfortable and relaxed everyone is, the better images I will capture. You may see a few pictures of pets with a "studio" look on my website and social media accounts. I often set up photo booths at animal-related charity events. Follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see where my next booth will be. I would love to meet you and your furry friend!
5. Why pay for photos of my pet if I can just take them myself? Is it worth it?
I'm glad you asked! I answer this question in depth in another blog post. You can find it here.
